INNER Edge Communication

Navigating Challenging Conversations from the Inside Out

From Insight to Impact

The INNER Edge gives leaders the internal awareness: how to Identify, Notice, Navigate, and Energize their own inner state to build Resilience. But leadership does not happen in isolation. It happens in conversation — often the hardest ones. INNER Edge Communication takes the inner work and applies it directly to one of the most demanding leadership moments there is: the high-stakes or emotionally difficult conversation.

Leaders who understand their own inner patterns still struggle when conversations get hard. This session closes that gap — turning internal awareness into a practical, repeatable way of navigating the conversations that matter most.

Session Arc

BLUEPRINT

Know Yourself

Leaders map their own emotional blueprint: reflecting on what is personally challenging for them in their communication, so they can personalize their learning experience.

PREPARE

Before the Conversation

Leaders learn to set clear intentions, decide how they want to show up, and ground themselves internally before a difficult conversation begins. They can take into account any potential power dynamics at play depending on who their conversation is with — whether a direct report, a peer, or someone they answer to.

NAVIGATE

During the Conversation

Leaders practice staying present and regulated while listening well — and learn what to do if they become dysregulated in the moment.

FOLLOW THROUGH

After the Conversation

Leaders learn how to check in, maintain accountability for next steps, and continue to build a more sustainable relationship, even after a challenging conversation.

PRACTICAL TOOLS

Skills to Use Immediately

Leaders leave with concrete, field-tested techniques for staying calm and present in the
moment — tools they can use immediately.

What Changes After This Session

Leaders enter difficult conversations with clarity and intention rather than avoidance or dread

Leaders recognize their own dysregulation in the moment and have a way to recover
without reacting or disengaging

Leaders build a personal communication blueprint they can apply to any future difficult conversation

Leaders walk away with specific, field-tested techniques they can use in their very
next conversation.
